The Copa Jerez food and Sherry pairing competition is international in scope, attracting the top chefs and sommeliers from eight countries including Spain, the United Kingdom, Germany, Belgium, Denmark, the Netherlands, and Japan. The winner from each participating country will travel to Spain in January of 2011 to compete in the international finals – a magnificent culinary event that will be judged by the world’s top food and wine experts.

For the American semi-finals, teams will compete, live, in front of a television crew on October 6th of this year. Entries are now being reviewed for the 2010 Copa Jerez food and Sherry pairing competition.

If you are interested in participating in this prestigious competition, please send your recipes, with their respective Sherry pairings and a description of why the pairing was chosen, to Sherry Council of America.
